Gmail's new feature

Google’s new machine learning tools has helped in mailing services. This will help people save time and energy. It will also check for typos and grammatical errors. The smart compose feature doesn’t write the full texts but suggests new texts after analysing the existing messages. Gmail’s text suggestions appear in lighter grey and if we wish to use them then we can press the tab button on the keypad. The smart compose tool can speed up the message creation and reduce errors simultaneously. When we use Google’s products, we are sharing our information with Google.

The smarter-The better

A Mass based digital agency Stone Temple collected 5,000 questions to ask both Google Home and Amazon Alexa and discovered that Google Home answered more than three times the amount of questions compared to Amazon Echo (3,383 versus 1,030). Out of all the queries Google Home answered, 2.3 % of the queries it answered were incorrect versus 6.3 % of the Amazon Echo device. So, Google Home seems to be the smarter device. With access to Google's repository, this is often hardly shocking. Amazon Alexa performed well, while apparently not counting on Google for its answers. Growing Business-Savvy!

Both the IT giants, Google and Apple have revamped their business model which ensures that you get more money for each downloaded app by the consumers. According to reports, both Google and Apple have been internally testing out the viability of this process. For iOS developers, their share will be only paid after a consumer has been subscribed for more than a year. Google on the other hand, is flexible and lenient enough to release the money in the direction of Android developers right away. Android is the most popular mobile platform in developing countries, primarily due to its availability of affordable devices. SEO firms and Social Media marketers come close with Google search

Google search algorithms affect around 90% of online searches. These strip out bad searches, sites with keywords, duplicated content and manipulated hyperlinks based on quality, originality and relevance of online content. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) needs to change, we cannot build links like we use to and are more focused on content making. Business still has the need of a SEO professional in a more changed and creative way and aware about how to implement basic optimization. Content written by a reputable journalist or blogger is ranked higher by Google. Google gives importance to the engagement of the user with the content than paid for content. SEO agencies focused on link manipulation through “black hat” techniques and keyword-focused methods of SEO are going out of business while those focused on content marketing are thriving. There is now less differences between the roles of PR, social media, SEO and digital marketing. It is important to create brand value and have good, creative content and be technical sounding. Thus to offer so much for content writing increased collaboration is required creating their own digital newsrooms for real-time marketing strategies. This would maximize on the benefits.

Expansion of SEO is never a threat to PR professionals. PR might now become a part of the SEO agency team as the skill of the former is more vital than before. Google changes are now more human-friendly and people now search online using questions and complex phrases than just stand-alone keywords and content makers solve this with SEO in mind.

Big data, profits and no more privacy!

Is our privacy at risk?- This is the most discussed question in today's world of big data where companies like Google is able to capture data from homes and offices as well as video footage for storage anywhere in cloud, provided by Amazon Web Services. According to Danielle Hughes of Divine Capital, computers are learning to interact with one another and this is raising concerns. Though, it is true that people are living in the post-privacy world today as younger ones have no issues in sharing their personal information in social media. But, Hughes thinks, this is the beginning and in the future machines will start to teach other machines and tell back the information analytically to big companies. She also concludes that it will not lack investments in future, as for example IBM is already projecting $20 billion in revenue from big data in 2015.
